I traveled to Maritius to do a quick job on an oil rig that was heading from Singapore to Scotland and was provisioning enroute. My job finished early as the rig decided to proceed as soon as it was refueled so I managed day and a half of looking around Port Louis and the surrounding countryside. Port Louis is vibrant with a Chinatown in the middle of the city. A mix of Indian, African and Chinese it is a melting pot with Creole the main language though most speak English and French. Outside of Port Louis the Chamarel seven colours earths park is an amazing sight as is the Chamarel waterfall.
