Guiyang.
I had a couple of trips out to a gold mine in Guizhou Provence in 2007. Jinfeng was the first foreign owed gold mine in China and started production early 2007. It was a 6 hour drive from the capital Guiyang and the road for the most part was dirt. But the phone signal was never lost. Even in those remote parts. A suspension bridge over a gorge was an engineering feet with the gorge dropping hundreds feet below. Farming life out there was very simple with buffaloes still the main engine for farm implements. Markets would line each village we drove through. Most of the photos are taken from a moving vehicle.
