Tana Toraja in South Sulewesi is a place like no other. The funeral traditions are simply amazing. I was working with some guys from Tana Toraja and told them I wanted to visit. So one of the guys lined my up with his brother as a guide. So I had 3 days on the back of a motorbike going around the sights around Rantepao which is the traditional center of Torajan culture. I flew up in a twin engine small plane from what was then Ujung Pandang, now called Makassar, the capital of Sulewesi. A 300km Merpati flight straight up the valley into the mountains.
